Since 1958, the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Office of Community Engagement has facilitated internship opportunities for high school juniors and seniors with community business partners to gain experience and knowledge in their intended collegiate fields of study and/or careers. Student enrolled in this program who are placed at Baptist Health participate in the Baptist Health Teen Healthcare Internship program.

The Baptist Health Teen Healthcare Internship program emerges students in a variety of clinical and administrative settings. Students are paired with mentors from across Baptist Health facilities for five hours each week during the school year.

Approximately ten students participate in each cohort.
