Year Up South Florida launched in 2012 on the campus of Miami Dade College. Year Up South Florida offers an intensive, one-year program for college students aged 18-24, combining professional coaching, hands-on skill development, and internships at some of America’s top companies, including Baptist Health. As students work toward completing a degree at Miami Dade College, Year Up South Florida provides them with professional development and work experience, preparing graduates to launch a meaningful career.

The program is composed of six months of technical training and professional skills development, followed by a six-month internship. Students are paid a stipend by Year Up South Florida during both phases of the program and may earn college credits for Year Up coursework. The inaugural program began January 2020.

Approximately two participants will be accepted per cohort.
