Students accepted to the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program at Miami Dade College may apply for the Baptist Health Nurse Scholars Program. Over a period of four semesters, participants of this joint program will participate in didactic and clinical experiences within Baptist Health facilities as both students and as Scholar Nurse Partners. Scholar Nurse Partners is a per-diem employment opportunity for students to shadow an experienced nurse on a preassigned unit.
Students accepted into the Baptist Health Nurse Scholars Programs are provided a scholarship towards school tuition. This amount is paid directly to the university, and students are responsible for additional fees as determined by the school.
Approximately 30 participants will be accepted during each of the fall and spring semesters.
At the completion of the program, eligible graduates may be offered employment at Baptist Health with a work commitment of four years. Also graduates are required to complete ARN to BSN at Miami Dade College, for which they will receive a scholarship.
